International Human Rights Commission is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world and promoting the cultural of Peace among the nations.
We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice.
We investigate and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable.
We challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law.
We enlist the public and the international community to support the cause of human rights for all.
MISSION
The Mission of the International Human Rights Commission shall be to:
» Facilitate the creation of cooperative networks and economic development programs enlisting and involving financial institutions, traditional and alternative energy producers, private enterprises, diplomatic representations, universities, governmental bodies and other concerned parties;
» Promote human rights peace, gender equality, health, equality, economic development and educational access, awareness regarding the rights of women, children and youth in developing nations and where ever needed;
» Broaden the understanding of sustainable economic development and promote the implementation and dissemination of norms, rules and guidelines that apply to this field;
» Assist developing nations by identifying and retaining businessmen, professionals and scholars willing to act as human Rights advisors to their diplomatic and consular network;
» Develop, establish and maintain ‘Sister’ relationships with institutions and like minded organizations located in high GNP countries and developing countries.
» Strengthen and support to all Nation’s capacity to engage in Sustainable Development through educational access, relief programs, ecological and bioethical reflection and action, while taking into consideration the traditional social and cultural values of each Nation;
INTRODUCTION
The International Human Rights Commission was founded by the seven international organizations in their leader conference held at London on 10th of December 1988 to create the international network of human rights.
International Human Rights Commission issuing its annual report every year to highlight human rights violations, victimization and other matters concerning democracy, politics, extra-judicial killings, honour-killings, child labour and terrorism across the world.
IHRC have its diplomatic / Official representation in 40 Countries and more than 8100 members around the world and connected through the Face Book/ electronic ma il, till 31st December 2012, More than 2250 NGO’s from different countries linked and got membership of the Commission and Commission also providing its services to the United Nations, Organization of Islamic Conference, European Union and their member states according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights passed by United Nations on 10th of December, 1948 and playing role to develop the culture of peace, religious and political tolerance around the world.
The Council of Founders and General Assembly in joint session held at Rome proclaimed its first Constitution on 24th of February 1996 and by that Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan elected as the Chief of Commission for a term of ten years and re elected for 2nd term in March 2006. Commission is working for the protection of human rights according to the principles of UDHR passed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948 and for the World Peace.
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of the International Human Rights Commission are:
» The Service of Humanity without cast, color and creed.
» The struggle against the violation of the Human Rights, bloodshed and terrorism.
» To provide its services for the noble cause of maintaining peace and disputes between the nations groups individuals and organizations.
» To set up seminars and conferences on international issues of Human Rights, peace, democracy, education, health, child labor, women rights, against terrorism and narcotics or drugs trafficking.
» To reward those who are working for the mankind in their various of field of life.
» To provide awareness and educate the nations, Governments, Leaders, Legislators, Diplomats and Human Rights Activists by its campaigns, seminars, conferences, news bulletin, reports and through media.
» To uphold the United Nations principles and universal declaration of Human Rights passed on 10th December 1948, Islamic Declaration of Human Rights, and European Protocol & Conventions on Human Rights.
» To further develop cooperation in the field of Human Rights and World Peace within the members organizations.
» To provide legal and moral support from Commission to the victims of Human Rights violation all over the world.
» To undertake all other efforts that are likely to promote the aims & objectives of the Commission.
IN BRIEF
The International Human Rights Commission becomes the Intergovernmental Organization on 22nd November 2012 after the First Meeting of Intergovernmental Relations Council (IGRC) under the President-ship of the Excellency General ( R ) Email Lahoud Former President of Lebanon, in which IGRC passed its status to work as IGO.
The International Human Rights Commission have its diplomatic / Official representation in 42 Countries and more than 7500 members around the world and connected through the Face Book/ electronic mail, till March 2012, More than 2250 NGO’s from different countries linked and got membership of the Commission. The Commission also providing its services to the United Nations, European Union, Organization of Islamic Conference, and member states of UNO according to the “UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS” passed by United Nations on 10th of December, 1948 and playing role to develop the culture of peace, religious and political tolerance around the world.
The IHRC & OIC Secretary General also signed the request to establish the Formal relations between IHRC & OIC in the leaders’ summit held at OIC Secretariat at Jeddah on 23rd June, 2012 as Intergovernmental Organizations. The IHRC also entered in reorganization with the EU through Transparency Registrar of European Commission.
The Relief activities and assistance programs of IHRC run by its organ “IHRC Relief Fund Trust International which is recognized by the Government of Pakistan and we are in process to obtain the “Consultative Status” from the United Nations for IHRC-RFT.
The Council of Founders elected Mr. Philip Isle as the first World Chairman in its meeting for 4 years from 1988 to1992 and after, Mr. Anderson Brook from 1992 to 1996 but he died in 1993 January. The Council in its Emergency session held at Singapore elected Mr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan as the World Chairman for remaining time.
